But is vindication what we really need? Is it what we truly seek?
Perhaps it is. But after the vindication... what's next? After that moment of happiness that finally someone, everyone realizes how important you are... what is NEXT?
That's a question for everyone to think of, even me.
My pastor and I had a long discussion and chitchat today. And one of the things that struck me was this vindication thing.
You see the people who get vindicated... most likely aren't the ones who actually deserve or the ones who actually DID the thing that they do. Take the Temple of God as an example. We refered it as King Solomon's temple yet we forget, the person who envisaged, who actually wanted to build the temple was King David (God pretty much said "No, Dave, yer son is gonna build what you envisioned.). And it was because of King David that King Solomon builds the temple.

We know who invented Facebook. We hail Google's creators as geniuses. And yes, we love Twitter and Tumblr. We are able to enjoy all these for free! and why is that so? It's because of this guy: Tim Berners-Lee. Who the flip is he, you ask? Why, he's the man who invented the World Wide Web, more commonly known as the www. It is because of him, we have the web pages that we have today. He married the WWW with the internet and it was a stroke of genius. But do we flippin' know this guy? Not until my degree.

The funny thing is, the people who don't actually get vindicated are the ones who did many many great things.
Why does a celebrity who donates a lump sum of money to poor kids in Africa get more vindication than a voluntary worker who works there for many years and actually takes care of them?
These volunteers do more that that one celebrity does for these people and yet they get nothin' flippin' vindication. But do they need it? No... All they need is that every day thought being able to help, to strengthen, to encourage, to touch lives that need every bit of hope they can get. And it brings a smile to these people.
I have learnt that vindication is just a side, small reward for those who did well, those who did great things. But I learnt also that people who did greater have naught of it.
To feel vindicated or not to feel vindicated, is out of the question.
My friend, to do or not to do... now THAT... is the question.
